Hovey Manor is truly one of Canada's most charming and romantic
inns. Guests enjoy seclusion, affordable luxury and haute cuisine
on 1800 feet of prime shoreline on Lake Massawippi in Quebec's
Eastern Townships. The Manor was built at the turn of the century
as a private estate modelled after George Washington's Mount
Vernon home. Since 1950, Hovey Manor has been a prestigious resort
inn, with complete facilities on-site for year-round vacation
pleasures. The inn serves an international clientele and an
exceptional bilingual staff extend personalized service in English
or French.
Located on Lake Massawippi, just outside one of North Hatley, one
of Quebec's most picturesque villages, the inn is only 75 minutes
east of Montreal and 20 minutes north of Vermont.

Accommodations |
Hovey
Manor |
| |
Rooms at Hovey Manor are individually appointed and most have
beautiful views of Lake Massawippi. Thirty nine guest rooms vary from small
cozy rooms to spacious luxurious rooms with fireplaces, large
Jacuzzi tubs, canopy beds and private lakeside balconies. Two very
special suites, the Pines and the Briches, are among the most
luxurious and beautifully appointed in all of Quebec. The Birches,
as its name indicates, has a bathroom (pictured above) with
vaulted ceilings and wallpapering that evokes a birch forest. The
Pines has its own screened-in porch, perfect for sipping cocktails
on a lazy summer day. Both suites are equipped with king-size
canopy beds, double Jacuzzis, cuisinettes, wood-burning fireplaces
and very large balconies with plenty of patio furniture.

Hovey
Manor |

"Hovey Manor is an inn. Her table is that of a great
restaurant. And the restaurant runs according to the grand hotel
tradition. With an important and stylish staff; with an elaborate
and intelligent wine list ... with a menu which offers not only a
quality cuisine, but which gives a place of honour to regional
products and their producers." -Françoise Kayler, La Presse
At Hovey Manor, the pursuit of a fine, innovative cuisine
expertly served is a major preoccupation. Hovey Manor is one of
Quebec's few "Table de Prestige" and enjoys an enviable
reputation for its cuisine and wine cellar. Dinner, often
accompanied by classical musicians, is the highlight of the day
with varied and elaborate menus.
